The making of – The ChildrenIn The Studio I sourced laces from all over the world to make altar boy garments. Many times I would have lace from two different places with perfectly matching patterns and use them both on one altar boy garment. I spent about a year gathering laces and garments before working on them. Some arrived in pristine condition and others arrived needing cleaning and mending- sewing on buttons and bows. Dresses and altar boy vestments cleaned and ready to have the Snake-Through-The Keyhole appliquéd on the front of each garment. Sorting through the different sized dresses from age 5- 14.
