CONFESS
The making of - The Children
September 2015- July 2018
Hearing that the hierarchy of the church knew about the priests’ crimes and protected them and the reputation of the church instead of taking care of the children added a deeper layer of betrayal. Wanting to make the child victims visible, I created a collection of suspended altar- boy vestments and Holy Communion dresses, each with a snake through the keyhole motif sewn onto the front. This installation is called “ The Children”.
